Scoping consists of creating a short document confirming the steps required, costs, who will complete and an estimated go live date.
The stages associated with an upgrade are:
Review (of scoping document and confirmation of approach and high level requirements).
Gap analysis (requirements v off the shelf functionality).
IT infrastructure review (changes required from latest version).
Procurement (Nav licence and module enhancements, IT hardware and software).
Application upgrade (servers).
Deployment (client installs).
Developments (following gap analysis).
User configurations (roles, role centres)
Special configurations (module, developments and other).
Data migration (modules, developments)
Training (per policy)
Go live
Post go live support.
One of the main advantages of Dynamics Nav is the multiple languages that can be used for both viewing the application (changing the language is as easy as Tools, Languages from Classic or Select
Language from RTC) and generating reports from the application. A customer or vendor can have a language code assigned to it and reports generated from it (orders, invoices etc) will
automatically display in their language code.
Each language pack for Dynamics Nav is not cheap! Through our partners, we can confirm a quote for purchasing any language pack for Nav. If you would like a quote, please email us and confirm the languages required.
Each purchases pack needs to be installed. We offer installation services at competitive rates. We can install out of normal office hours as long as we have remote access. Typically we charge 1
day per pack installation across the server and clients but 3 packs are only 2 days.
Equally we can offer advice on how best to configure customers and vendors to allow default languages for orders, invoices etc.
